An Extra Project

These are a few of the name tags that I am making for this years womens seminar at our church. I really enjoy making hand crafted items every year for the event and this year I was asked to make the name tags. I have had since summer last year to come up with an idea but I, instead, came up with several and until two weeks ago I could not settle on just one. Finally (while in the shower before the family awoke) the idea of using wire came to mind. The theme "Upsy Daisy" is hand written in wire and beaded. It would be deceitful for me to say this is all my work. All of the children have helped in their own way. The youngest two helped sort bead into like colors and helped trim paper. My oldest girls have helped me bead every single tag and have helped with sorting the beads into like colors and helped cut and trim the tags. Lots of work, I know but it has been great to sit around the table with all of the kids and just talk about little things. This, I would say, has been a project that used a lot of "time well spent". I hope the ladies enjoy the name tags. We certainly enjoyed making them.
