My husband and I were disagreeing (agreeably of course) while on our way to church last night. He stopped suddenly and said, "You're just so intrepid". I was so surprised by the word that I had to look it up. Who calls someone intrepid in the middle of an argument - I mean serious discussion? It totally threw me off balance. Was he calling me a name? Really? That has never in our entire 16 years and 8 months of marriage happened before.
He also said that the problem with me being intrepid is that I am also impetuous. He of course is right on both accounts; but who, I ask, uses those kind of words in an argument? My husband, that's who.
Needless to say, we ended the conversation with smiles and not just because we were turning into the church parking lot and had to keep up appearances!
What a wonderful nerd my husband is.

Wow--he told you that you are characterized by fearlessness and have fortitude and endurance. :-) I'd say that's a compliment in the middle of a disagreement--better than saying you are stubborn and strong-willed LOL
Yes, Jan and he meant it that way. Sometimes my husband shows God's love to me in ways that amaze me. Both choose to see the good in me, even when I am not being so good to them.
I loved this post, it totally made my day :)
Love it :)
