This Makes It Official...

We picked up her cap and gown yesterday, and yes, the tears threatened to fall. To remedy the situation I got out the camera to snap the first of B's senior pictures. Friday we will be driving to a local cotton field and a quiet little park to take a few casual pictures of B, my oldest, my baby, my very grown up daughter...sigh. This mommy's heart is so proud. I found this quote on Pinterest and it just really seems to fit.

"My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?" - Dr. Seuss

I can totally relate to this! I started to grieve the senior year during their junior year--one of my friends whose twins graduated before mine told me to do that---a little at a time--and it did make it a little easier. I was so happy for them--for this benchmark in their life--and I figured out it was the relationship change I was really grieving. :-) And then there's the leaving for college, and the getting married....(this is Jan Hildebrand-my google acct wouldn't leave the comment)

Oh my . . . I remember when she came home from the hospital - she was so beautiful - and still is. I remember the angst of excited anticipation mixed with dread well. Praying for you all during the beginning of these transitioning years.
