Our Mommy/Daughter Day

We shared coffee and oatmeal.
We bought flip flops for "C".


We ate cake at a shower
And had punch that was fizzy.


We painted our nails -
With dots - That was funny.

Some day she'll want to be with her friends
But today she chose to be with me.

Bathroom Makeover

A couple months ago my dear husband and I were out running errands when he drove into the local Lowe's parking lot and said, "Well, you've been wanting to paint the bathroom. Let's go pick out some paint." What?!? Now?!?...

So, now for an update. Yes, I chose a paint color, and a new shower curtain...



and new floor mats...and a new decorative arrangement(which includes a new art piece made by my two youngest children and a few of their favorite books)...



and new towels(modified, of course)...



and new cutesie towel hangers(including handmade place markers)...



What an accomplishment! It feels so good to get everything done.

Needless to say, the husband has not asked if I want to repaint the bedroom.
