A Day Off

Today was a very welcome change of schedule and routine. I was able to take our two youngest children to see Winnie The Pooh, a stage production at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. We had such a great time together. My youngest decided to read out loud a Pooh Bear book to me on the way there. It took her fourtyfive minutes of the two hour trip but she finished the whole thing and since she does not turn six until the thirty first of this month I am very, very pleased. The play was absolutely adorable and the trip home was wonderful as the two fell asleep and most of the ride was unusually but wonderfully quiet.

Yes, I am now rested and looking forward to being creative and getting back to work.

New Items Coming Soon

I am so excited. I would really like for Very Verdant to carry items for school aged children and teens, as well as items for young adults going off to college. On this note, I will soon be offering laptop sleeves (soon being in the next 2 months). I love shopping for new fabrics and designing new items but this does take time.

Anyway this is big news for Very Verdant and I am excited to see how this goes. Hopefully I will have several available at the craft fair in March.

I am happy that I will be an Auntie again for the 8th and 9th times this coming spring. Hooray for me...and my sisters-in-law too. This is the gift I am sending to the nephew that is arriving in May. His big sister is turning 2 this Thursday (Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you) so I will be sending something for her too. I miss out by being so far away from all the nieces and nephews but isn't Internet great? I enjoy getting to see how all of the children are growing and changing. Hopefully, I will get to see all of them, including the two new ones, this summer. My kids are all but demanding to see the cousins.

Back to the picture. Our second oldest picked out the monkey fabric for her new cousins present and for a present for a friend of ours who is also expecting a boy in May. There was enough fabric left over for our youngest to get a small purse and our oldest got a small pouch to keep her goggles and swim cap in. WAY COOL !!!
